Orthopaedic Physiotherapy
What is Orthopaedic Physiotherapy?
Orthopaedic physiotherapy focuses on the treatment of disorders and injuries related to the muscles, joints and ligaments also known as the musculoskeletal system of the body. Anyone suffering from bone or muscle pain either due to injury/trauma or post-surgery pain can benefit from Orthopaedic Physiotherapy.
The Physiotherapist first analyses the patient’s history and plans an assessment based on the symptoms explained by the patient. The physiotherapist then carries out a physical examination and diagnostic imaging tests, such as X-ray and ultrasound, to understand the reason for the patient’s condition, and then give the appropriate treatment.
